Education and Career
From time immemorial, India has been a center for learning. Thousands of years ago, great scholars taught through the scriptures, which were orally carried from generation to generation. A variety of subjects such as philosophy, religion, medicine, literature, drama and arts, astrology, mathematics and sociology were taught and masterpieces on these subjects have been written. Nalanda, Vikramshila and Takshashila were ancient universities that had students from far flung countries coming there. The Muslim era and the British era saw great development in the field of education to a diverse stratum of society.

Punjab’s Professional Colleges Going Vacant
Courses in management, engineering, hotel management and pharmacy may be the most sought after in other places but thousands of seats in these streams are going vacant in the progressive state of Punjab.

Over the years, the number of hopefuls trying out for admission to the IIMs has become so huge that the traditional paper-and-pencil test had become unmanageable. Shifting to the more efficient CBT was inevitable and wise. After all, if India could successfully undertake a paradigm shift of much bigger dimensions like the transition from paper balloting to computerise electronic voting in the general elections, then why doubt the ability to conduct the equally innovative exercise of computerised CAT for the IIMs?

Indian universities to open branches in Australia
India has always made a trademark in respect of education. Now its high grade in education is appreciated and is going to be recognised in Australia. Australia has invited "elite Indian institutions" to set up campuses in its land and thus help Adelaide become a "University City".

Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education in the provincial government of South Australia Michael O'Brien said, "We are now inviting elite Indian universities and institutions to set up campuses in our province." He further added, "We are slowly positioning Adelaide as a university city. And Indian institutions are welcome to set up campuses there. We will be happy."
